Lauren and Ben's Winehaven Wedding
Lauren and Ben met through the couple's friends Connor and Hannah. A group of friends went to grab drinks in Uptown one day, where Lauren and Ben happened to meet, hang out all day, and started getting to know each other. Ben then got Lauren's phone number, and asked her out on their first date at Urban Eatery, where sparks flew! Soon after, Ben warned his friends that he might not be around quite as much anymore because he had found someone that he was "serious" about. The rest is history!
History
Lauren and Ben had been dating for about 2 1/2 years when they first went to start looking at engagement rings in February 2016, but then Ben kept the ultimate "surprise" by waiting until December 2016 to pop the question! Ben proposed to Lauren at the beautiful Desert Botanical Gardens on their vacation in Phoenix, AZ. The garden was all lit up for the holidays, there was music playing, and Ben couldn't have picked a better spot! Even better yet, their phones had both died, so they spent the rest of the evening just enjoying each others company with no distractions and wandering through the desert garden. When they were finally ready to go, they charged their phones at the Garden Bar, had some champagne, and then off to In N Out Burger to finish off the night the way they had planned!
Style
Classic, Traditional, Glam, Bold, and Romantic. The Bride wants to honor her family Jewish heritage and incorporated a few Jewish traditions into the ceremony and reception
Color Palette
Cranberry, Gold, Blush, Ivory, and Navy
Most Brides goes with very soft colors so it is always exciting when we get to work with some bold and rich color palette. The Ceremony was absolutely beautiful, the weather was perfect and the Huppah and aisle decor were really striking. It was a gorgeous day at beautiful Winehaven, the vines were so green and the scenario was perfect for a summer wedding.
Her bouquet was gorgeous, even though was very classic and round shape there was a little bit of draping. love the colors so much, dahlias, ranunculus, cascade amaranthus and seeded eucalyptus with pops of white and blue was just a perfect combo. I love the lanterns decorating the aisle with red roses and draping amaranthus too. Did I say draping amaranthus again, YES! Love that plant!!! We repurposed the ceremony decor for the reception area. We had 3 styles of centerpieces and gorgeous linens provided by Festivities. She brought a gold frame to be used at the photo booth later in the evening and we used that to frame the cake for the first part of the evening, it actually ends up going really well and making their small two tier cake to pop. For the head table, We arranged the wedding party bouquets on the bottom of the candelabras and that gave a very rich tone. D’amico, Winehaven, and Festivities were really great partners to work with
The food was amazing and apps were paired with local wines and beer. D’amico always excel in service and on food presentation. The mini chicken chipotle tacos paired with Nordeast beer in mini pilsner glasses were the coolest!
Fun Fact: The Mother of the Bride told me a couple times that she was convinced about having a day of coordinator after our Salesperson asked her who she would rather have the transportation company calling on the day of the wedding in case the shuttle break down, the Bride or the Wedding Planner? LOL! Obviously, we work with fabulous partners but it is true, at times we have to deal with a few gremlins but the Bride and Groom have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes because we are constantly brainstorming solutions and making sure their special day runs without a hitch and they have the best experience ever !!!
