Haley & Matt's Hope Glen Farm Reception, As Seen in The Knot Mn
When we can marry OUR love of planning/coordination with styling and design, we're over the moon. Creating a wedding design is one of our favorite services we offer. Sometimes a design idea hits us, and we aren't able to implement it until the right couple comes along. Haley and Matt were that couples for us!
Haley & Matt actually had an intimate elopement in Hawaii about a year before this event. A few months following their private ceremony, they hosted a large reception in Minneapolis. This event was an opportunity to gather friends that were unable to attend either of the previous two celebrations. You could say that Haley and Matt were not ready to let the love-filled festivities come to an end. And we can't blame them. Post-wedding planning depression is real!
Bringing this European countryside vineyard design with elements of rustic charm and vintage flair for Haley & Matt's day to fruition was a dream come true (and in just three months too!). It isn't often that we can truly take an idea and run with it. But the couple put all of their trust in us and told us to do as wish! So, from the suspended chandelier installation that we dreamed up to the elaborate cheesecake display, each element was created with the design theme in mind. It was all about creating a unique ambiance with not-so-subtle European inspiration.
There is something to be said for intimate wedding receptions that don't miss a detail. Sometimes the only way to get exactly what you want (design wise) is by paring down your guest list. Since this was technically celebration number three, Haley & Matt wanted to host their guests at a venue that said "countryside cozy" with gorgeous decor and delicious food- which made Hope Glen Farm the perfect setting. With more than five vendors lending a hand in the food & dessert service, we knew that there would be something for everyone! And we had a stellar team assembled for decor too! Annie Berndt Designs created the most beautiful custom installations for reception decor, Apres & A Vintage Touch had the perfect inventory for setting up the lounge areas and creating beautiful family-style tables, and Lake Harriet Florist created jaw-droppingly beautiful garlands, Haley's head wreath and wildflower inspired bouquet.
We're so proud of how the wedding reception design of this event turned out. Plus, It was super laid-back and enjoyable for the couple. Putting everything in our hands meant that it was no-pressure, no-fuss, all-about-love event. Which, doesn't always happen (but should). It was an incredible honor and oh so humbling to see their love story featured in the latest issue of The Knot Minnesota (insert giddy happy dance everytime we think about it)!
