Dana & Christopher's Day Block Event Center Wedding
Dana and Christopher's fall wedding at Day Block Event Center is what we would call eclectic elegance. It was a beautiful mix of traditional fall elements (mainly from the color combination), with a few rustic tie-ins and an industrial-style venue. Day Block Event Center has gorgeous exposed brick, lots of natural light and high ceilings. It's a great space that we love working with.
The color combination of the day was a lovely mix of peach, blush, burgundy and greenery. It is SO pretty!
Dana's bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in complimenting styled of a smokey blue, blush and burgundy.
Bouquets and centerpiece arrangements were crafted with lots of dinnerplate dahlias, stock, and a variety of roses. The floral installation for the ceremony was incredible! It had lush greenery garland with floral accents in the blush and burgundy tones. It was a stunning creation that defined the altar and acted as a statement piece.
They had quite a few personal details, but we have two favorites. The first was the adorable table names/numbers! Each table was actually named after a state or location that the couple had a personal connection to. Small wood cutouts were positioned next to a card that told the guests what the significance of that location was. It was a great touch. It also tied in beautifully with the wood slabs that were beneath the centerpieces.
Our second favorite was the cake made of cheese! If you follow our blog, you know that this something that we love to see! It's a great alternative & statement piece. And of course, it pairs beautifully with wine, fruit and other sweet treats. The couple opted to also include cupcakes and a traditional cake with their overall menu.
