Dylan + Collin's Aria Minneapolis Wedding

Dylan and Collin are drawn to industrial architecture and neutral colors, and they wanted to incorporate both into their wedding day. So, when they discovered Aria in downtown Minneapolis, they knew they had found their dream wedding venue. The next step was to transform the space into one that represented their wedding aesthetic beautifully, and the reveal finally happened this past spring.

As a wedding day begins, one of the things we look forward to seeing and experiencing the most is the happiness of our couples. For Dylan and Collin, their joy was on display while they were getting ready with their respective wedding parties. Each captured photos with their bridesmaids and groomsmen before they were officially dressed, and Dylan even did a first look with her bridesmaids (who all wore white!). Then it was time for the start of the ceremony.

D+C’s wedding ceremony was so unique. They chose to recite their vows in the same space where their reception would be held later in the evening. However, instead of walking down an aisle with chairs on either side, guests sat at the tables and in the seats where they would later dine. Aria was once a theater, and this ceremony layout felt reminiscent of days gone by. We also loved how both Dylan and Collin walked down the aisle with their parents before reciting their vows to each other.

After the ceremony, Dylan and Collin stepped outside with their photographer, Kiana of Kiana Grant Photography. They were able to capture couple’s portraits against Aria’s brick exterior. Plus, later in the evening, they were able to join together for additional photos just as the sun was setting. It was perfect timing!

While they were capturing photos outside, guests had time to take in the details of the space. The exposed brick walls were made more romantic with swaths of organic white draping. Tables featured high and low centerpieces by Studio Emme Floral and linens that were again all in white. The look was crisp, fresh, and clean, but also warm and romantic – a gorgeous look and fabulous balance for a May wedding day.

After Dylan and Collin rejoined their guests, the reception officially kicked off. The evening was filled with a menu by Create Catering and speeches that struck just the right balance between heartfelt and funny. D+C each shared dances with their parents, and of course they spun around the dance floor plenty of times together as Bluewater Kings Band played.

Between the guests and their neutral, organic aesthetic, Dylan and Collin’s celebration felt wonderfully intimate and so them, and we loved played a part in their day.
